Take a soft tape measure (used in sewing) and measure the circumference of your head starting at the center of your forehead, wrapping around just above your ears, to the widest part of the back of your head, and the rest of the way around your head. Don't pull the tape measure too tight or your hat will fit too tight. Be sure to measure 2-3 times for the most accurate measurement. Small adult heads are roughly 21-1/2", Medium are 22-1/2", Large are 23-1/2".

NOTE that if the hat style covers your ears, wrap the tape measure around your ears as well to make sure it will fit.
