Millinerium has had many clients with hair loss from experiences like chemotherapy and alopecia. Ginger's sister underwent chemo for breast cancer in 2004 and she was rediagnosed with breast cancer on June 1, 2009 (she is doing very well, btw!) We understand what it means to have very sensitive skin and to be self-conscious about your hair loss.

That's why it is very important to us to use super soft 100% organic cotton labels inside our hats and why we will always carry some hats that are softer than usual for your comfort. 99% of our hats are hand-washable (please air dry for maximum longevity), making it easier to keep them clean during ongoing periods of hair loss.

We use as many natural fibers as possible to allow your head to breathe; in cases where hats are made from reclaimed clothing, they may contain synthetics which will be noted on the product tag and in the online description. For functionality, some hat linings may also consist of synthetics and blends. However, we value the superior breathability and comfort of natural fibers and attempt to use those whenever possible.

For those of you with halos or bangs, Millinerium will sew or Velcro your hair pieces into any hat for FREE.

Remember that scarves and turbans can be worn under many of our hats for extra warmth, a different look, or added coverage. The Pet hat is very popular with hair-loss patients and can be worn out on the town, worn underneath our other hat styles, or worn as a sleep cap. The Misha hat is great for those with hair loss because of the elastic in the back and the band that ties in back for a snug fit. The Tam and Garden hats are both wonderful options for a more formal look and many of them are fully reversible.
